Rail News: Rail Industry Trends
The Canadian government recently awarded $1.2 million to the Canadian Railway Museum in Saint-Constant, Quebec.
The Canadian Railroad Historical Association plans to use the funds to help pay for the second phase of its EXPORAIL exhibit, which is scheduled to open May 31. The exhibit is designed to present the history of Canada's freight and passenger railroads through a collection of artifacts and interactive presentations.
"The EXPORAIL project will enable the Canadian Railway Museum to join the select ranks of the world's top five railway museums," said Canadian Minister of Industry Lucienne Robillard in a prepared statement.
