Network Rail obtains signal-department scheduling software
advertisement
Network Rail recently purchased ShiftLogic® SL5™ software from AD OPT Technologies Inc. to automate signal-maintainer rosters.
Based in London, Network Rail plans to reduce signaler scheduling time, and optimize shift deployment and workforce utilization by integrating its database with time and labor software.
ShiftLogic would enable signal-department managers to automate and improve operations, providing Network Rail more comprehensive, real-time labor-cost information, according to a prepared statement.
Network Rail owns and maintains Great Britain's freight- and passenger-rail infrastructure, including tracks, signals, tunnels, bridges, viaducts, crossings and stations. The company provides access to all tracks and stations, traces train movement and operates signals.
