On Oct. 29, Hub Group Inc. and Grupo TMM subsidiary TMM Logistics announced plans to create a joint network aimed at managing freight moving between Canada, the United States and Mexico.


TMM Logistics will provide all sales support and conduct operations in Mexico; intermodal marketing company Hub Group will perform the same services in Canada and the United States through a newly formed division, Hub Mexico.


The companies plan to integrate various transportation modes and logistics to offer customized cross-border transportation services.


"Bringing together each company's marketplace presence and integrating our execution capabilities on each side of the border creates a tremendous opportunity to provide truly seamless transportation for both Mexican and U.S. customers," said Hub Group President and Chief Operating Officer Thomas Hardin in a prepared statement.
