Burlington Northern Santa Fe Sept. 30 named Mark Schulze vice president and chief sourcing officer to succeed Jeff Campbell, who recently was named vice president of technology services and chief information officer.

Schulze, who will report to Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer Carl Ice, has served as assistant vice president, consumer products marketing since early 2001.

He joined BNSF in October 1990, serving as a corporate management trainee. Schulze also previously served as manager of finance, and director of the railroad's operating budget and measurement.

BNSF plans to name Schulze's successor in the near future.
