American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) recently named Robert Albritton, chairman and chief executive officer of Railroad Controls Ltd., and Dale Leake, senior marketing consultant for L.B. Foster Co., associate board members, according to ASLRRA's newsletter released Sept. 25.


At the association's annual meeting in April, members voted to change the ASLRRA's constitution and create two new associate board member positions. Albritton and Leake now will work with the association's board to establish future nomination and election procedures for the new posts, ASLRRA said.


Albritton, who co-founded Railroad Controls Ltd. in 1994, also serves as chairman and CEO of Mayfair Investments L.L.C. He previously founded Albritton Development Co.


Leake has served L. B. Foster Co. more than 37 years, including stints as national sales manager for rail products and regional manager for the southern U.S. He also serves on various rail-industry boards, including National Board of Steel Plate Fabricators Association, Pipeliners and Southeastern Gas Association.
