On Feb. 19, Surface Transportation Board announced plans to hold its second open voting conference of the year. The board will meet March 21 at 10 a.m. (EST) at STB's headquarters to discuss and vote on several pending transportation cases.


Although the public is invited to attend, no public participation will be allowed at the conference.


In about a week, the board plans to announce the conference's agenda and attendance procedures.


STB held its first open conference Jan. 31; the open sessions are part of Chairman Roger Nober's plan to conduct more board business in the public eye rather than behind closed doors.
