Johnstown America begins coal-car deliveries for FirstEnergy

Johnstown America Corp. Aug. 14 announced it's begun delivering 230 AutoFloodII™ aluminum coal cars for utility holding company FirstEnergy Corp., which plans to use the cars at two unloading facilities it's building at its Shippensport, Pa., and Stratton, Ohio, plants.


The cars, which Johnstown America is building at its Johnstown, Pa., facility, would be managed by San Francisco-based Flex Leasing Corp.


AutoFlood IIs are 53-foot long, 236,500-pound capacity, automatic-discharge coal hopper cars.
