Yesterday, Cedar American Rail Holdings Inc. announced it promoted Lynn Anderson and Kenneth Thoendel to senior vice president of marketing, and assistant vice president-marketing, minerals, cement and aggregates, respectively. The company also named Douglas Conway general manager-marketing to succeed Thoendel.

Most recently VP of marketing, Anderson began his railroad career in 1971 with the Chicago and North Western Railroad, and helped found Cedar American subsidiary Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern Railroad Corp. (DM&E) in 1986.

Thoendel joined the DM&E in 1986 after serving the Chicago and North
Western since 1974. Conway most recently served Union Pacific Railroad — where he began his railroad career in 1991 — as senior business manager-chemicals.

Cedar American owns the DM&E and Iowa, Chicago & Eastern Railroad Corp., which operate 2,500 track miles in eight upper Midwestern states.
