National Mediation Board creates Web-based arbitration record archive

Earlier this week, the National Mediation Board (NMB) launched the “NMB Knowledge Store,” an online public information service.

Accessible at www.nmb.gov by clicking on a “documents and forms” button, the store offers an archive containing more than 40,000 National Railroad Adjustment Board arbitration records.

The board plans to create a full online archive, including awards from the 1934 inception of arbitration under the Railway Labor Act. In the future, the store will offer a searchable archive, including NMB representation determinations and annual reports, Presidential Emergency Board reports, and railroad and airline labor contracts, union constitutions and by-laws.
