Edward Hamberger, Association of American Railroads president and chief executive officer, and U.S. Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) will serve as keynote speakers at RailTrends, a new rail finance event to be held Sept. 15-16 at the Cornell Club in Manhattan, N.Y.

Presented by Progressive Railroading magazine and independent transportation analyst and consultant Anthony Hatch, the two-day summit will provide a comprehensive overview of the railroad industry for railroaders, suppliers, equipment lessors, financial institutions and others interested in learning more about future trends and opportunities. Progressive Railroading is published by Trade Press Publishing Corp.

Hamberger's keynote will kick-off the conference at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15; Nadler, who is a member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and Subcommittee on Railroads, will address conference attendees at 8 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 16.

"There exists a strong appetite for trend-based information centered in finance and leasing in our industry; we knew a concentrated event with high-caliber presenters would be welcomed," says Progressive Railroading Publisher Stephen Bolte. "We are honored to have Mr. Hamberger and Congressman Nadler join us to commence this highly anticipated event."

Adds RailTrends Director of Education Wendy Loerch: "With RailTrends bringing together industry analysts, investors and top executives alike, we are expecting a high turnout of attendees representing many facets of the rail industry. We're happy to offer this invaluable educational opportunity, covering everything from yield strategies to interactive case studies."
