On Jan. 9, the House appointed 10 Republican congressmen to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure: Reps. Peter Hoekstra (Mich.), Gary Miller (Calif.), Chris Chocola (Ind.), Bob Beauprez (Colo.), Michael Burgess (Texas), Max Burns (Ga.), Steve Pearce (N.M.), Jim Gerlach (Pa.), Mario Diaz-Balart (Fla.) and Jon Porter (Nev.).
There currently are 41 Republican and 34 Democrats on Congress' largest committee.
On Jan. 29, committee members plan to vote on subcommittee assignments, said Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska), committee chairman and House Steering Committee member, in a prepared statement.
