CPR recognizes chemical shippers' safety efforts

Canadian Pacific Railway June 4 honored 18 chemical shippers with its Chemical Shipper Safety Award, which recognizes companies that annually shipped more than 500 carloads of regulated chemicals last year without a single accidental chemical release during loading or unloading.
Winners are: BP Canada Energy Co.; Rimbey Pipe Line Co. Ltd.; Husky Energy; Consumers' Co-operative Refineries Ltd.; Moose Jaw Asphalt Inc.; Shell Chemical Canada; Shell Canada Products; ExxonMobil Oil Corp.; Celanese Canada Inc.; Nova Chemical Ltd.; Dow Chemical Co.; Nexen Chemicals; Chemtrade Logistics; Sales Inc.; Falconbridge Ltd.; Inco Ltd.; Imperial Oil Products and Chemical Division; and Sterling Pulp Chemicals Ltd.
CPR last year introduced the award; 11 shippers are receiving the honor for the second time.
