Today, Progressive Railroading launched RailPrime, a premium digital subscription designed to unpack all things freight rail.

Designed to serve as a complement to Progressive Railroading’s monthly magazine and Daily News offerings, RailPrime will consist of quick hits and short pieces, trend data and other numbers-oriented nourishment, as well as in-depth reports.

It’ll also be home to interviews and profiles of industry players (and soon-to-be players), feature articles that focus on the technology evolution, the rail workforce of the future, and new business development ideas and strategies.

RailPrime subscribers will also have access to exclusive webcasts and discounts to other Progressive Railroading events.

“The aim of RailPrime is to focus on what’s changing in and around the freight-rail realm, and, at times, what isn’t changing — and the consequences of same,” says Progressive Railroading Editor Pat Foran, who also serves as editor-in-chief of RailPrime. “And we’ll illustrate, in all the ways a digital platform affords, why what’s changing — and what isn’t — matters.”

“We are excited to extend the breadth and depth of content, in different formats for our Progressive Railroading audience,” says Amy Brown, director of events and education. “RailPrime will continue to build upon our reputation for covering the most important topics for the freight-rail industry.”

An annual subscription to RailPrime is $199; a monthly subscription is $19. For more information or to subscribe, visit www.progressiverailroading.com/railprime.
