AAR releases annual report analyzing U.S. Class I data

Today, the Association of American Railroads (AAR) announced its policy and economics department has released the 27th annual edition of “Analysis of Class I Railroads.”

The book features 2004 data on the seven U.S. Class Is aggregated by eastern and western districts, and the nation as a whole. Categories include financial results, employment, plant and equipment, traffic, fuel consumption, operating statistics and rankings.

AAR members and non-members can purchase printed copies of the book for $100 and $250, respectively; an electronic version is available free to members and for a $225 charge to non-members. A spreadsheet version also is available. For more information, visit AAR’s Web site at www.aar.org.
