advertisement
Because RMI received a positive response to the Fast Track Awards it created earlier this year to honor small road users of its Web-based services, the company will present the awards annually. RMI currently is seeking nominees for the 2007 Fast Track Awards.
The awards recognize railroads and shippers that use RailConnect® and ShipperConnect services to automate manual processes, improve asset or data management, or increase event reporting.
Entries will be judged on:
• compliance with TRAIN II reporting standards;
• advanced management reporting through SuperTrip, RailConnect Query Tool or other third-party tools;
• use of RailConnect EMS services to control car-hire costs or increase fleet earnings;
• use of ShipperConnect FMS services to improve fleet performance and customer service;
• use of automation to report events;
• use of advanced RailConnect features to automate manual processes;
• use of online tools to automate information flow between a railroad and its customers;
• use of custom interfaces to integrate a railroad with large facilities’ logistics and production departments; and
• attempts to automate manual processes.
To obtain more information or receive an entry form, call Jennie Baker at 404-355-6734 or send an email to jennieb@railcarmgt.com.
