The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) recently introduced “Five-Year Data File of Industry Activity,” an electronic report aimed at industry analysts to help track and evaluate intermodal data and trends.

Containing 60 months of intermodal data, the report includes rail moves by equipment size, key corridor activity and traffic flows between regions (including Canada and Mexico). The electronic publication also features intermodal moves segmented by various equipment types, sizes and ownership, and data comparisons of prior months and years.

In addition, the report includes a tool for extracting and manipulating information to perform statistical analyses and segment data, and an application for charting and graphing individual data fields to assist in strategic and capital investment planning.

Current subscribers to IANA’s quarterly Intermodal Market Trends & Statistics report can obtain the electronic publication for $2,500. IANA members and non-members can purchase the report for $3,750 and $5,000, respectively. For more information, visit IANA’s Web site at www.intermodal.org.
