On Oct. 4, Kawasaki Rail Car Inc. will celebrate its 20th year as a North American passenger-rail car supplier.
The car builder will hold a ceremony at its Yonkers, N.Y., plant that will include officials from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Port Authority of New York and New Jersey — which have placed large subway car orders from Kawasaki in recent years — as well as executives from Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.
During the past 20 years, Kawasaki has increased its North American market share more than 20 percent, the company said.
