The Austrian Federal Railways' Passenger Service AG recently ordered 17 four-car TALENT trains from a Bombardier Transportation/Siemens/Elin EBG Traction consortium.

To be delivered between December 2008 and May 2009, the trains will carry cross-border passenger traffic between Austria and Hungary. The trains will feature low-floor entrances, state-of-the-art public address and emergency call systems, and air conditioning.

Bombardier's share of the $108 million contract will total $79 million. The 17 trains will increase the railway's TALENT fleet to 188 units.
