AAR committee approves Kelso's low-flow pressure-relief valves

Kelso Technologies Inc. recently received regulatory approval from the Association of American Railroads’ (AAR) Tank Car Committee for two additional tank car pressure-relief valves.

The committee blessed the JS75L and JS165L low-flow valves, which Kelso developed from patented designs for its initial and AAR-approved JS75 pressure-relief valve. Because the low-flow valves aren’t newly designed, the AAR didn’t require two-year service trials and instead granted approval based on reviews of all testing data.

Kelso plans to begin manufacturing the JS75L and JS165L valves to fill initial orders.
