The Association of American Railroads recently released the 22nd annual edition of “Railroad Ten-Year Trends,” a publication featuring rail industry data from 1995 through 2004.
The book includes economic tables and graphs, and information on Class Is’ performance, traffic, financial statistics, employment, plant and equipment, and operations. The publication also lists all U.S. freight railroads, profiles rail-related organizations, and provides information on regionals and short lines, and the Web sites of about 250 U.S., Canadian and Mexican roads.
AAR and non-AAR members can purchase copies of the book for $50 and $100, respectively, plus a $6 shipping and handling fee per order. For information on obtaining copies, visit AAR's web site at www.aar.org.
