American Association of Railroad Superintendents (AARS) plans to hold its 107th annual meeting July 27-29 at the Sheraton Station Square Hotel in Pittsburgh.

The meeting will include addresses by Tom Sterling, president of short-line holding company Transtar Inc., and David Gunn, president and chief executive officer of Amtrak.

The meeting also will include presentations on train scheduling, safety and planning, a technical showcase of products and services, and presentation of the AARS Frank Richter Scholarships. In 2001, AARS named its scholarship program after Progressive Railroading co-founder Frank Richter.
