ALSTOM Transport recently agreed to sell its Australian and New Zealand operations to maintenance and facility management service provider United Group Ltd. for $201.5 million.
ALSTOM could receive an additional $22.6 million depending on the operations’ financial performance. Expected to close in July, the agreement is subject to various conditions.
ALSTOM’s Australian and New Zealand transport operations include engineering and maintenance support, road and rail infrastructure projects, and professional services for regional rail operators.
