German railway operator DB Region AG recently ordered 37 CORADIA LIREX regional trains from ALSTOM. The $203 million contract includes an option for up to 42 additional trains.
The rolling stock will enable DB Region AG to replace its fleet on the Augsburg network in Bavaria. Scheduled to be delivered between mid-2008 and 2011’s end, the trains feature an energy management system.

ALSTOM to supply 37 regional trains for German railway

German railway operator DB Region AG recently ordered 37 CORADIA LIREX regional trains from ALSTOM. The $203 million contract includes an option for up to 42 additional trains.
