More than 125 public transportation agencies and suppliers have joined in the American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) Emergency Response and Preparedness Program (ERPP). The association announced plans to create the program last month.
Administered by APTA and funded by the Federal Transit Administration, the program is designed to coordinate resources and personnel to help agencies conduct evacuations or respond to other emergency situations. APTA will create an ERPP database that lists available equipment and personnel for participating organizations.
