The American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) is joining the American Public Transportation Association and International Air Rail Organization to sponsor a European Rail & Technology Tour to be held March 1-16, 2008, in Amsterdam in conjunction with the UIC 6th World Congress on High Speed Rail.
The tour will feature an open itinerary and sample a "myriad" of new passenger-rail technologies implemented in Europe during the past decade, AREMA said. The event also will include visits to providers of many rail modes, including high speed, airport connections, multi-modal terminals, metros, light rail and dual-mode streetcars.
