advertisement
When Terrey Hawthorne died in March 2004, the railroad industry lost a highly respected engineer. And a valued friend.
In honor of Hawthorne’s contributions to the industry (and this earth), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers’ (ASME) Rail Transportation Division on Dec. 14 unveiled the Terrey Hawthorne Memorial Scholarship – a $2,000 award for the 2005-2006 academic year.
Current employees of railroads, railroad supply firms, transit authorities, associated companies and their family members are eligible. For application forms or additional information, call Gary Wagner at 708-596-5168 or email him at wagnerg@hadadycorp.com. You also can call David Cackovic at 719-585-1880. Applications are due May 1, 2006.
