The Alaska Railroad Corp.’s (ARRC) board recently appointed Chief Financial Officer Bill O’Leary acting chief executive officer, effective April 1. Current President and CEO Patrick Gamble asked the board for transition time to prepare for his new job as University of Alaska system president, a post he will assume on June 1.
During previous ARRC leadership transitions, the railroad’s CFO has served as acting CEO.
The board plans to meet on April 1 to discuss details for establishing an executive search process for a permanent president/CEO.
