Alcatel Transport Automation Solutions’ Spanish subsidiary recently was awarded a $13.5 million contract from Spanish National Railways to install signaling and centralized train control for the Mérida-Zafra and Mérida-Villanueva de la Serena lines.
Alcatel will provide seven Alcatel 6151 LockTrac electronic interlockings, Alcatel 6313 FieldTrac axle counters, UPS power supply, a communication system, and a new cable and fiber-optic network.
