Amsted Rail International recently named Doug Cummings general manager-Australia. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the Australian rail industry.

“Doug comes to Amsted Rail International … at a time when Amsted Rail is looking to increase its focus on segments of the international freight-rail market,” said Amsted Rail International President John Wories in a prepared statement. “This is at a time when the world growth and demand for rail products is near an all-time high. We expect the Australian freight market to be a significant part of that growth.”

Amsted Rail, which owns Griffin Wheel Co., Brenco Inc. and ASF-Keystone Inc., supplies rail-car trucks, draft sills, couplers, draft gears, cushioning units, bearings and cast-steel wheels.
