Amsted to build second Chinese wheel plant

Amsted Rail recently entered into a joint venture to build a second wheel plant in China.
To be located in Xinyang City in Henan Province, the plant will manufacture cast wheels for the Chinese domestic market and for export. The facility could open late next year.
The company has plans to expand production closer to home, as well. Amsted currently is in the midst of a $50 million North American wheel operations capital program designed to increase capacity and improve production efficiency.
