Rail News: Rail Industry Trends
Beginning in fall, passengers on select Amtrak routes will be able to travel in style and enjoy such amenities as five-course dinners, luxurious suites and personal butler service. The national intercity passenger railroad is teaming up with private rail-tour operator GrandLuxe Rail Journeys to offer the GrandLuxe Limited.
To be moved by regularly scheduled Amtrak trains, the private, seven-car luxury trains will include dining, lounge and sleeper cars and be available only to GrandLuxe Limited passengers. The luxury trains will run on select Amtrak routes between November and January 2008.
