Amtrak, the Michigan Department of Transportation and Travel Michigan are partnering to encourage Chicago-area residents to venture outside the Windy City and visit another Great Lakes state.
The national passenger railroad and state agencies are working with communities along the Grand Rapids-to-Chicago Pere Marquette, and Port Huron-to-Chicago Blue Water routes to boost travel to Michigan’s dining, shopping and special event destinations.
Today, the groups are featuring an exhibit at Chicago’s Union Station to distribute information about Michigan attractions.
