Travel agents and tour operators in 40 countries soon will have access to Amtrak’s reservation system through RailAgent, a Web-based booking system developed by travel distributor Wandrian Inc.
Designed to streamline the worldwide distribution of Amtrak tickets, RailAgent will enable international travel agents to book reservations in real time and print ticket information.
Agents can register to use the system, which will be launched in early 2007. Amtrak officials expect the system to attract more international travelers.
