Amtrak completes $10 million Hattiesburg Depot rehab

This past weekend, Amtrak officially opened the renovated Hattiesburg, Miss., station. The national intercity passenger railroad recently completed $10 million worth of improvements at the facility, which is located in the Newman-Buschman Railroad Historic District, the city’s oldest neighborhood.
The station is served by two Amtrak Crescent trains daily. The station now connects with local transit services.
