Another year, another ridership record for Amtrak’s Cascades service. The Pacific Northwest passenger-rail line served more than 603,000 passengers — a 2.3 percent hike compared with 2003 — marking the 10th-consecutive year of higher ridership.

Operated by Amtrak, and the Washington and Oregon departments of transportation, Cascades runs between Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver, British Columbia.
