Amtrak contracts ALSTOM to manage Acela fleet maintenance

ALSTOM recently obtained an $80 million multi-year contract from Amtrak to manage spare parts supply and provide technical assistance for the Acela high-speed train fleet.

ALSTOM will deliver complete overhaul packages, corrective maintenance materials and scheduled maintenance kits to the national intercity passenger railroad for Acela trains, which operate along the Northeast Corridor between Boston, New York, and Washington, D.C.

In addition, ALSTOM will provide Amtrak technical assistance to manage fleet maintenance.
