Amtrak contracts Wabtec to provide brake actuators

Amtrak recently awarded a $1.8 million contract to Wabtec Corp. subsidiary WABCO Transit to provide brake actuators for the national passenger railroad’s Superliner II and Amfleet cars.

Delivery is scheduled to begin early this year.

WABCO Transit manufactures pneumatic, electronic and mechanical braking devices for the transit industry.
