Amtrak recently announced it will expand ticket sales to 32 countries under an international sales agreement with Rail Europe 4A, a joint venture between the French and Swiss national railways that promotes and sells rail tickets worldwide.

Rail Europe will market Amtrak passes to travel agents in 40 countries, eight of which already offer Amtrak tickets. The railroad’s USA Rail Pass offers international visitors several travel options, including national, Northeast, East and West passes.

Now, passes will be available to travel agents in Brazil, Egypt, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Vietnam.
