Today, Amtrak is hosting a Community Security and Emergency Preparedness Expo at New York Penn Station.

Presented in partnership with law enforcement and emergency response agencies, the expo will include displays of mobile command centers and live demonstrations. Agencies will hand out crime prevention and emergency response materials to passengers.

Participating agencies include the Amtrak Police & Security Department; Operation Lifesaver; Federal Railroad Administration; New York City police and fire departments; New York and New Jersey state police departments; New York Port Authority; U.S. Customs; Transportation Security Administration; Federal Emergency Management Agency; Postal Inspectors; Drug Enforcement Agency; Alochol, Tobacco & Firearms; the Coast Guard; Navy; Marine Corps.; Army; National Guard; Secret Service; and Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Amtrak plans to host a similar expo at Washington, D.C.’s Union Station later this year.
