Amtrak customers now can use their mobile devices to make or cancel reservations, and view train status and schedules. The national intercity passenger railroad recently launched Amtrak Mobile, which enables passengers to use Web-enabled mobile devices to connect with Amtrak.com.
The interface is available for Blackberry®, Treo™ and pocket PC users, as well as those using most Web-enabled cell phones. Amtrak Mobile can be accessed by logging onto www.amtrak.com. The site will recognize when a person is using a handheld device and automatically connect them to Amtrak Mobile functions.
