Amtrak to operate new Silver Service schedule

advertisement

On Aug. 1, Amtrak will begin operating a revised New York-to-Miami Silver Service train schedule to provide more convenient arrival and departure times in several cities, and improve connections to other trains.

Southbound trains will depart about one hour later than currently scheduled; northbound trains will leave about three-and-a-half hours earlier.

Amtrak will provide later arrival times in Jacksonville and Orlando, enabling passengers to sleep later and eat breakfast onboard, and earlier departure times from Miami to offer Jacksonville and Orlando passengers more convenient afternoon and evening departures. In addition, Florida passengers can arrive in New York in the morning and connect to trains serving other destinations.
