Amtrak's ticket prices to fluctuate on several Northeast Corridor trains

advertisement

On Feb. 6, Amtrak will implement a revenue management program on Acela Express and Metroliner trains.

The national intercity passenger railroad will raise ticket prices 15 percent on some high-demand, low-capacity trains, and reduce prices 15 percent on lower-demand, high-capacity trains. The program — implemented last year on several Northeast Corridor regional trains — aims to encourage passengers to purchase tickets early and travel during off-peak hours.
