Appointments at RailWorks, Macquarie Rail, and Skelly and Loy

• RailWorks Corp. announced that Joe McGee was named vice president and general manager for RailWorks Signals & Communications Inc. He has more than 30 years of industry experience, most recently as a senior project manager with Balfour Beatty Rail Inc. Meanwhile, two executives have joined RailWorks' operating subsidiary in Canada, PNR RailWorks Inc.: Chris Hudson, as regional manager for the Eastern Division, and John Leonardo, VP, business development. Hudson formerly held a senior leadership position with utility contractor Aecon Utilities. Leonardo most recently served engineering firm Hatch Mott MacDonald, where he was responsible for business development and training for the Canadian rail systems engineering group.

• Macquarie Rail named Tim Ewing vice president-sales and marketing. He has 31 years of experience in the rail manufacturing and leasing industries, including stints with ACF, GE Rail Services and CIT Rail. Ewing most recently served Babcock & Brown Rail Management, where he covered the southwest territory.

• Phillip Mullins will head up engineering-environmental consulting firm Skelly and Loy Inc.'s recently expanded Wise, Va., office. Mullins, who founded Appalachian Technical Services in 1995, most recently served as senior mining engineer for Cumberland Resources.
