Army Reserve seeks rail-experienced recruits
advertisement
The U.S. Army Reserve is looking for a few good men and women with railroading experience to help staff two railroad battalions due to current national defense measures.
Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and United Transportation Union officials Oct. 16 alerted members that the Army is interested in recruiting railroad employees — preferably with prior military experience — working in train operations, maintenance of way or rail equipment repair.
Recruited employees would serve the Army Reserve's 757th Transportation Battalion, with units near Chicago and Milwaukee, and 1205th Transportation Railway Operating Battalion, with Massachusetts, Connecticut and North Carolina units.
For more information, contact Major Martin Piech by phone at 877-519-8533 or email at martin.piech@us.army.mil.
