San Francisco’s Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) recently invited a Balfour Beatty Rail/Mitsui & Co. Ltd. joint venture to bid on the proposed Oakland Airport Connector project.
BART plans to build an automated people mover system that will provide direct transportation to the airport. The system will replace the existing bus transfer routes from the Coliseum BART station in Oakland.
