Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) soon will be installing additional security cameras in stations thanks to a $5.4 million state security grant.
The funds are the first installment of a billion-dollar transit security program included in the $19.9 billion Proposition 1B bond measure, which was approved by voters last November.
