Last week, Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) posted record ridership on its SFO extension to San Francisco International Airport.
On the day before Thanksgiving, more than 32,000 passengers traveled on the five-station extension — the line’s highest daily ridership since it opened in June 2003.
BART also posted a record number of passengers the day before Thanksgiving at the San Francisco International Airport station. Almost 11,000 people used the station — a 14 percent increase compared with the same day last year.
During the six-day Thanksgiving holiday travel period, BART recorded a 41 percent increase in SFO station passengers compared with the same 2003 period.
