Rail News: Rail Industry Trends
Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) is seeking a credit card issuer to develop and market a “BART Rewards Card,” which would provide passengers incentives to ride trains.
The card would function like an airline or co-branded card, offering cardholders rewards, discounts and special services for riding BART.
Last year, BART registered 12.5 percent more passenger trips than the busiest domestic airline and 18 percent more passenger trips than Atlanta’s Hartsfield — the nation's busiest airport, according to a prepared statement.
