For the eighth-straight year, BNSF Railway Co. has landed on the list of LATINA Style magazine’s 50 best U.S. companies for Latinas to work for.
A magazine focusing on professional issues that affect Hispanic women, LATINA Style surveys more than 800 Fortune 1000 companies and evaluates leadership programs, employee benefits and Latina representation in executive positions to identify the top 50 firms. The magazine honored BNSF for its diversity and recruitment efforts.
“BNSF is committed to its diversity initiatives and to our Latina professionals," said Joann Olsovsky, BNSF assistant vice president of telecommunications, in a prepared statement.
Founded in 1998, the list also includes Union Pacific Railroad, American Airlines Inc., DaimlerChrylser Corp., General Motors Corp., McDonald’s Corp. (which the magazine named company of the year), PepsiCo Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
