BNSF, Union Pacific among top 50 companies for Latina employees

BNSF Railway Co. and Union Pacific Railroad have been named to the Latina Style 50 Report for 2024, which identifies corporations that are providing the best career opportunities for Latinas in the country.
The report evaluates the corporations' advancement opportunities, then recognizes those companies that support programs that encourage training, retention and promotion of Latinas within the organization. Evaluations for the 2024 report are based on 2023 data.
"The Latina Style 50 Report preparation process is a demanding one that requires extensive research. Our objective is to give the most accurate representation of what corporate America has to offer," said Robert Bard, president and CEO of Latina Style Inc., in a press release.
Among the principal areas of evaluation are the number of Latina executives, retention of Latina employees, educational opportunities, employee benefits, job retraining, affinity groups and Hispanic relations.
This year, Bank of America secured the No. 1 spot among the 50 companies that made the list. BNSF ranked No. 33 on the list, while UP ranked No. 35.
The annual awards honoring the 50 companies will take place in May 2025 in Washington, D.C., during the Latina Style 50 Awards and Diversity Leaders Conference. The full list of honorees can be found here.
